Pause - Feel - Enjoy

Less than a 2 hour drive up the coast from Barcelona there is the perfect place to pause – feel - enjoy. A place that was a secret kept by  few artists, poets, architects and writers who fell in love with the beauty of its rocky coasts, fresh Mediterranean air, and the vivid colors of its light and landscape: the Costa Brava. It is difficult to think of another place where you could have played a game of chess with Marcel Duchamp, crossed paths with Salvador Dalí on a walk by the sea or enjoyed a caña (beer) with Picasso in one of the fishing villages. The Beauty of Color & Patina

We’re starting off the month of May with three new shoes and a focus on color and patina. We produced a small batch of our penny loafer in a new patina that is in stock and available for purchase and created attractive new colorways for two of our classic styles for a new group-made-to-order (GMTO). With two tone leather and brogues, Norman was the first bespoke shoemaker to face the challenge of adding a patina to a shoe with such an intricate design. The patina is carefully hand painted and finished by hand, being extremely careful with the brogues. We chose...

Done With Winter

We turn heads in our boots, have dreams of wearing our loafers, and are in need of a smooth hand off. As such, we’ve designed three styles that are nice alternatives for the transitional periods of the year. These shoes are to be worn when you’re ready to give your boots or loafers some time to rest and are welcoming in a new season. Our first selection is a milestone for us. While sourcing leathers we came across a classy nappa grain leather which is soft and supple with a subtle grain that gives the shoe a bit of texture. We don’t usually source black leather since we create our own black patinas in house starting with crust or leather...
