March Madness

We're celebrating the arrival of Spring with three new shoes in an eclectic mix of color and design combinations for our March Madness Group-made-to-order (GMTO).

Our first shoe is our Marcel Adelaide Oxford in an elegant Aubergine handmade patina.

Marcel features a chiseled toe box without embellishments, simplified brogue punching along the throat and swan neck, an asymmetric pattern with no center back seam, a comfortable padded and embroidered insole, and a hand painted leather sole in purple.

After many months of featuring shoes with brown and black color palettes, we wanted to offer a classic style shoe with a slightly more aggressive color. With a clean toe box and elongated vamp, Marcel is the perfect canvas for our handmade Aubergine patina. The color compliments gray and navy suiting, and pops when combined with greens, browns, and other organic colors.

Our Manolo Tassel Loafer, formerly known as our Tassel Loafer Simple, is our second GMTO shoe of this month.

Manolo features a carefully hand sewn apron, a laced collar with dual tassels, texture of vegano inca leather, and a durable, lightweight, and comfortable Vibram Commando Sole.

The design combination may look and sound odd at first, but the convenience of a slip-on shoe, casual elegance of our tassel loafer design, and the comfort and weather resistance of the Vibram Sole has made Manolo a fan favorite year round.

We selected a mist patina, a cool and calm grey and blue patina with hints of light tan. The patina has a slight 3d effect with each grain of the vegano inca leather covered in varying amounts of color.

Our final shoe is our new Esteban Summer Buck. While designing this shoe, we didn’t want to deliver any ordinary summer buck, we wanted to create a shoe with charming personality and added flair.

Esteban features smooth nubuck in grey, a wingtip with our Barcino Medallion (our homage to the “Fuente Magica de Montjuic” of Barcelona), an asymmetric pattern with a streamlined silhouette and no center back seam, brogues along the wingtip, swan neck, and balmoral seam, patina accents to give the shoe additional depth, and the added body and weather protection of a storm welt.

Like a classic summer buck, Esteban features a brick colored sole, ours with a comfortable Vibram Rubber Button Sole. Combined with the nubuck upper and storm welt, Esteban will make your coworker’s summer shoes look mighty boring.

Our Marcel Adelaide Oxford, Manolo Tassel Loafer, and Esteban Summer Buck are available in our March Madness Group-Made-to-Order through Tuesday, April 6th. Orders placed before the end of March will receive complimentary worldwide shipping.

All shoes are bench made, Goodyear-welted, and hand finished by our artisan team in Spain before shipment. This process includes the use of glass, sandpaper, inks, creams, waxes, fire and multiple iron tools to achieve a bespoke quality finishing that the Norman Vilalta brand has become known for.

We will accept a 50% deposit to place the order using the code GMTODEPOSIT during checkout. The balance will be collected before the final shipment of your shoes.

Changes to the upper, lining, last, width, sole, and patina of the shoes are available with a 200 euro change fee. Please email sales@normanvilalta.com for any change requests or questions.
