With the summer holidays in full swing, we produced a capsule of three warm weather ready shoes in new handmade patinas.
Our first shoe is a new monstera patina in our Piet Penny Loafer. With people on the move again, and summer holidays in full swing, we wanted to make a color that evoked a fresh and healthy new start. As such, we created a beautiful and vibrant green.
Piet features French box calf leather sourced by Tanneries du Puy of Hermes, a curved saddle that surfs across the entire vamp, embroidery detailing on the heel counter, and a hand stitched apron that sits comfortably on top of the elongated toe box.
Our Piet Penny Loafer has a quilted insole with padding for comfort, and a Goodyear-welted sole that can be changed as many times as necessary.
The Monstera patina will liven up any suit and can easily be worn casually on a weekend holiday away.
Our second shoe is a slightly more toned down version of our James Loafer. In contrast to some of our more colorful patinas (levante and rosemary), this time we wanted to create a patina that is a bit more conservative and versatile.
James is our classic penny loafer featuring a sharp chiseled toe, elongated vamp, an asymmetric pattern, and our hand painted leather sole.
The sawtooth details of gimping accent the apron, penny keeper, tongue, and the counter and our padded and quilted insole delivers comfort.
The gunmetal handmade patina is evocative of the greys of a sportscar. The shoe has hints of black, blue, and many shades of grey, which matches well with darker colored attire.
Our final shoe is a new handmade patina on our elegant Eduardo Derby in a handmade grape patina.
Eduardo is the first single eyelet derby that Norman has designed for our Condal Collection, and the most formal version of our derbies.
Eduardo features a rounded toe box, an exaggerated vamp with an elegantly elongated silhouette, and a leather sole hand painted in purple.
We chose a rich grape handmade patina, which helps balance out the formality of the shoe and tastefully stand out. They will complement the blues and greys of work attire beautifully or a bit more rakish on the weekend with white linen trousers.
Our Piet Penny Loafer, James Penny Loafer, and Eduardo Derby are now available online and in our boutique in Barcelona, Spain. Every pair is professionally hand finished before delivery by our artisan team.
