There’s a special place in every wardrobe for a proper dress Oxford — but not just any Oxford.
This month, I’m bringing back our Marcel Medallion Adelaide as a Group-made-to-order, crafted from supple box calf leather by Tanneries du Puy and finished in our signature, hand-applied Espresso Patina.
It’s one of the most versatile patinas we offer — rich, elegant, and understated — and this is the first time we’re pairing it with this model in our GMTO.
The Marcel is an Adelaide Oxford, which means it features a distinct U-shaped facing.
It’s a slightly more expressive alternative to the classic cap-toe — often the next step for those who already own a traditional Oxford and are ready for something with a touch more personality.
What sets this pair apart is the detail. The Barcino Medallion at the toe — inspired by the fountains near Montjuïc in Barcelona — adds a subtle flourish, while the refined brogue punching along the seams gives structure without excess.
The design is clean, sculpted, and harmonious. Like all of our Condal Collection shoes, it’s Goodyear-welted, and meticulously hand-finished by our team in Barcelona with the same attention we give our bespoke work.
It’s been some time since we’ve offered a more conservative dress Oxford through our GMTO, and I’m excited to reintroduce it now — a shoe that bridges formal tradition and thoughtful design.
The GMTO is open until Tuesday, July 1st, and delivery is scheduled for later this winter.
