By special request, for this special Group-made-to-order we have brought back our Willem Wingtip Derby, one of our best performing GMTOs ever.
A cousin of our popular Derby Simple and Coltrane Wingtip Balmoral Derby, clients fell in love with this shoe because of it’s versatility. Essentially, Willem can be worn easily with anything. After multiple MTO inquiries and requests to make the shoe available in stock, we decided to debut our second color as a GMTO.
The Willem Wingtip Derby features an upper in country calf leather from Tanneries du Puy, four eyelet lacing, a wingtip on our round toe last, and an asymmetric pattern with no center-back and a streamlined finish around the entire shoe.
Brogue detailing adorn the wingtip, facings and heel and handmade Orion patina is a handsome black and blue reverse patina.
The durable Vibram Gumlite Commando Sole which is lightweight and comfortable and perfect for the city streets and outdoors and the 360-degree storm welt creates a bolder silhouette and increases the weather protection a few notches.
Our Willem Wingtip Derby is a comfortable option when worn with a suit and they’ll look fantastic worn with denim, khakis and corduroys on the weekend.
Every pair of the Willem Wingtip Derby is Goodyear-welted and meticulously hand finished by our artisan team in Spain before shipment. This process includes the use of glass, sandpaper, inks, creams, waxes, fire and multiple iron tools to deliver a bespoke quality finishing that the Norman Vilalta brand has become known for.
