When I designed the Derby Simple, my goal was to create the kind of shoe you could live in—versatile, elegant, and quietly confident.
It’s a shoe that pairs just as naturally with a sport coat and flannel trousers as it does with your favorite jeans, the sort of companion that carries you from weekday meetings to weekend strolls without missing a step.
Until now, all of our shoes have been offered in my standard E width. But over the years, several clients with wider feet have asked me for something that would give them the same balance of comfort and refinement without compromise.
Today, I’m happy to share a very small batch of the Derby Simple in an F width—our first foray into wider sizing.
I chose the Derby Simple for this introduction because it’s the perfect shoe for fall: substantial enough to stand up to cooler days, yet streamlined enough to feel polished in any setting.
Handcrafted with the same care and hand-finished details as all of our work, this limited run is made to serve those of you who have been patiently waiting for just a little more room.
Quantities are limited, and I don’t know when we’ll be able to produce another batch.
