A Summer Statement
With winter coming to an end, we decided to be bold with this group-made-to-order. We designed three styles that make a summer statement and celebrate the incoming heat.
Our first shoe is our Spectator Full Oxford, also known as our “Gladiator” for the brogue detailing on the vamp. They are also known as the “co-respondent” shoe, but we’ll let you google why. :-)
The Spectator Full was the first shoe that Norman designed back in 2001. With two tone leather and brogues, Norman was the first bespoke shoemaker to face the challenge of adding a patina to a shoe with such an intricate design. The patina is carefully hand painted and finished by hand, being extremely careful with the brogues.
We chose a cream calf leather from Tanneries du Puy for this Spectator Full, with a contrasting tone toe cap, heel counter, and eyelets, and no center back seam. The shoes are Goodyear-welted and hand finished in our atelier in Barcelona, Spain with a padded and embroidered insole for added comfort.
Our second shoe is a summer ready loafer with a modern look and a touch of flare. We decided to design this version of our Tassel Loafer with our chiseled toe last which gives the loafer a more aggressive silhouette.
Pairing the chiseled toe shape with the softer feel of our tassels balances out the design, and the calf grain leather from Tanneries du Puy adds texture and depth. Top it off with our signature 3D patina and we have a unique Chiseled Toe Tassel Loafer that combines complex design elements and can be dressed up with a suit or dressed down with cropped pants and bermudas.
Our final shoe is our Dirty Red Suede Tassel loafer with a hand stitched apron. With the return of Ivy style, Norman thought it would be nice to create a loafer in the same vein but turned up a notch.
Our Dirty Red Suede Tassel Loafer is dressed in suede from Charles Stead with a hand made patina that gives the shoe an elegantly aged look. We combined this with our Vibram Commando sole which gives your feet added cushion and guarantees that you'll be comfortable throughout the day.
Our Spectator Full Oxford, Chiseled Toe Tassel Loafer, and Dirty Red Suede Tassel Loafer are now available as a group-made-to-order (GMTO) both online and in our men’s shoe store in Barcelona, Spain through Tuesday, March 24th PST. Orders will be processed at the end of the order window and will be produced and delivered in 16 to 20 weeks.
