Escape the Heat
We are pleased to announce the launch of two new shoes of our Escape the Heat Group-made-to-order.
If you’ve been following our brand for some time you would know that one of the most popular styles of our collection is our unique take on a Chukka Boot, the Decon Chukka. What little people know is that if it weren´t for another popular shoe of ours, this wonderful boot wouldn´t exist.
The Decon Derby Shoe was originally designed by Norman while he was only doing bespoke shoes. It is a rare model that we’ve only introduced once before in our ready to wear collection.
The unique design uses once piece of leather for the vamp, lower quarters, and counter, and separate cuts of leather for the facings, throat and tongue.
For this version of our Decon Derby Shoe, we combined French box calf leather from Tanneries du Puy, suede from Charles Stead, and a handmade patina in our classic brown and cognac.
We selected a Vibram Button Sole for additional cushioning, and because of it’s close resemblance to the look of a slightly bolder double leather sole.
The result is a shoe that incorporates an elegant combination of leathers, a rich patina, and unique but versatile styling that can easily be dressed up or down.
Our second shoe is a very special make-up of our Roy Balmoral Derby Boot that we put together with a winter ready upgrade.
For the very first time in our Condal Collection, we are introducing a luxurious shearling lining to our boot range.
Our Roy Balmoral Derby Boot features a vamp, lower quarters, and counter that are lasted from one piece of box calf leather that wraps around the boot and meets neatly at the inner heel.
The ankle shaft and tongue are cut from separate pieces of leather and are lined with warm shearling leather from Spain.
We selected silver eyelets and a handmade gunmetal patina which is a handsome blend of slate blue and grey which unquestionably will complement both dress and dress casual attire.

Our Decon Derby Shoe and Shearling lined Roy Balmoral Derby Boot are now available in our men’s shoe store in Barcelona, Spain and online in our group-made-to-order (GMTO) through Wednesday, June 29th.
