With social distancing and working from home becoming the “new normal”, we wanted to give you something to look forward to when you do go outside. Since there are limits to making your mandatory mask look stylish, this new group-made-to-order selection will ensure that your feet stay sharp at the very least.
After receiving requests for additional colors, we selected our Joan Loafer in an all new sophisticated colorway. Joan balances our chiseled toe last with the lighter touch of tassels and texture of grain calf leather resulting in a loafer that perfectly blends three design elements together.
To top it off, we selected 3D Ebony, a beautiful black and brown patina that compliments most dress wardrobes. The brown peeks out of the black at different depths of the grain leather on the toe box and tassels. This creates the subtle 3D effect and marbleized look when combined with the glaseage.
We chose our Robert Chukka Boot on a comfortable Vibram Button Sole and pebble grain leather as the second model. The design of our Robert Boot is defined by the combination of slightly bowed facings, double eyelets, and an elongated vamp which create the boot’s elegant silhouette.
The chiseled toe combined with the slightly thicker sole give the boot an additional masculine touch and the stitching along the collar is a subtle design detail that accentuates the profile.
We selected Box Vegano Inca Leather in chestnut from Tanneries du Annonay for this version. The pebble grain leather gives the boot a slightly more rugged feel, and the chestnut color compliments wardrobes year-round.
Our final model needs no introduction for our clients and followers. Our Decon Chukka Boot is one of our signature models that plays with the design of the classic chukka. Instead of sewing the quarters on top of the vamp, the quarters and vamp are one piece of leather that is carefully lasted around the boot and meet at center back.
The tongue, facings, and and collar are cut separately which enables us to play with different upper combinations, in this case suede from Charles Stead and box calf from Tanneries du Puy. The mix of leathers creates texture and allows us to experiment with colors and patinas.
For this version of our Decon Chukka Boot, we selected a deep mahogany patina with chocolate brown suede, a sophisticated combination that stands out but isn’t ostentatious. Paired up with a navy or grey suit or dressed down with dark denim or khakis, you will want to show them off on your next Zoom call.
Our Joan Loafer in 3D Ebony Patina, Robert Chukka Boot in chestnut, and Decon Chukka Boot in mahogany are available as a group-made-to-order through Tuesday, September 29th.
Every pair is bench made, Goodyear-welted, and hand finished by our team of artisans. This includes the use of glass, sandpaper, inks, waxes, dyes, fire, and iron tools to achieve a bespoke quality finishing for every pair.
