Loafer Season
To celebrate the official launch of summer this month we produced a small batch of our Joaquin Loafer, a stunning new tassel loafer that we debuted earlier this year.
Joaquin features a carefully hand stitched apron, a sharp chiseled toe, texture of Vegano Inca, our signature embroidered and padded insole, and a Goodyear-welted leather sole that is hand painted in a vibrant red.
The combination of the chiseled toe with the round apron creates a well-balanced composition of shapes that is simple yet elegant. The slim silhouette compliments dress attire and can be easily be paired with a more comfortable outfit on the weekend.
We selected a handmade bister brown patina with light accents on the tassels for a slightly serious but playful touch. We also included a handmade bourbon patina for those who want a lighter look for the summer.
All of our shoes are bench made, Goodyear-welted, and hand finished by our artisan team in Barcelona, Spain. This process includes the use of glass, sandpaper, inks, creams, waxes, fire and multiple iron tools to achieve a bespoke quality finishing that the Norman Vilalta brand has become known for.
