Ready-made Winter Wonders
For February, we produced a small batch of boots and one of our classic shoes in a popular patina to help get you through the winter and prepare you for the spring.
Our first shoe is our Marsella Boot in bister vegano inca leather. We produced our Marsella Boot in a handsome chestnut last month, and this month we produced a small batch for those who prefer a darker color.
Marsella features 4 brass eyelets and 2 speed hook lacing, a creative pattern that lasts the vamp, lower quarters, and heel counter from one piece of leather, our Duende embroidery on the heel shaft, and a comfortable Vibram Button Sole.
We selected bister, a unique brown that is derived from the ash of burnt wood. This dark color compliments most dress wardrobes, but can easily be worn casually with denim, corduroys, and khakis as well.
Our second shoe is our popular Adelaide Full Brogue in box calf leather from Tanneries du Puy, with an asymmetric pattern without a center back seam, and a hand painted leather sole in purple.
In July of 2019 we debuted this shoe as a group-made-to-order with a combination of box calf and vegano inca. Since then the shoe and color combination has been one of our most popular made-to-order shoes.
For those who prefer classic shoes in a single style leather, this time we produced our Adelaide Full Brogue in all box calf leather. This version has less of a contrast in textures and a slightly cleaner finish.
Last August, the positive feedback of our Antonio Boot from our Winter Heat GMTO compelled us to make a version for stock this winter. Given the amount of boots with a commando sole offered this season, perhaps some other brands were keeping tabs too. ;-)
Our Antonio Boot features pebble grain vegano inca leather from Tanneries du Annonay, 5 eyelet and 2 speed hook lacing, our Duende embroidery along the heel shaft, and a Vibram Gumlite Commando Sole which is lightweight, durable, and probably one of the most comfortable commando soles available in the market. We selected our handmade Orion patina which is perfect for those who want to play with color but still need to dress slightly conservative. The result is an elegant boot with slight flair that can still be dressed up or down.
Our Marsella Boot in Bister, Adelaide Full Brogue in Marron Mediterraneo, and Antonio Boot in Orion are available now in a small batch online and in-store. Note, our small and large sizes do sell out quickly since we usually only produce one pair of each size.
All shoes are bench made, Goodyear-welted, and hand finished by our artisan team in Barcelona, Spain. This process includes the use of glass, sandpaper, inks, creams, waxes, fire and multiple iron tools to achieve a bespoke quality finishing that the Norman Vilalta brand has become known for.
