The Return of the Eduardo Derby

There are certain designs that do not need to be reinvented. Only revisited.

The Eduardo Derby is one of them.

For some time, it has remained absent from our collection. Not by intention, but by rhythm. As we focused on new forms and more expressive designs, this particular model quietly stepped aside.

Now, in a small number of pairs, it returns.

At first glance, the Eduardo appears simple.

An open-laced derby. Clean lines. No excess.

But the difference reveals itself in the proportions.

A single eyelet. An elongated vamp. A line that extends slightly further than expected, creating a more continuous, uninterrupted surface across the foot.

It is a subtle adjustment. But one that changes the entire balance of the shoe.

This is not a design decision made for novelty.

It is one made for those who notice.

For many, a derby is a starting point.
The Eduardo is not.

It tends to resonate with those who already own the classics. Those who understand how most derbies are constructed, and begin to look for something quieter, more deliberate.

The extended vamp creates a longer visual line. The reduced lacing simplifies the upper. The result is a shoe that feels more composed, more intentional.

It does not ask for attention.

But it holds it.

It is not a shoe that explains itself immediately.
It is one that becomes clearer the more you understand what you are looking at.

Each version of the Eduardo carries the same underlying structure, yet its character shifts with the leather and finish.

In darker tones, the form becomes more architectural. More direct.

In warmer browns, the elongated vamp allows the patina to develop with greater depth, revealing variation across a larger uninterrupted surface. These are not variations in design, but in expression. The form remains constant. The interpretation evolves.

The form remains constant. The interpretation evolves.

Each pair is Goodyear-welted and hand-finished in our Barcelona workshop.

The finishing process is where much of the character emerges. Layers of color are applied gradually, allowing the leather to develop depth rather than surface uniformity.

No two pairs will be identical. Each will carry slight variations that reflect the hand of the artisan and the nature of the material itself.

This is intentional.

We do not produce the Eduardo continuously.

It appears when there is a place for it, and steps back when there is not.

A small number of pairs are now available once again.

For those who recognize what Eduardo offers.
