A Spring in Your Step
Now that Spring is here, we created three new shoes that are perfect for transitional weather.
Our first shoe is our Borcego Mountain Boot in a handmade Marron Mediterraneo patina.
Drawing from inspiration from Norman’s love of the quality construction and mountaineer look of the hiking boots from Marasco & Speziale in Argentina during his youth, he designed this refined and versatile boot that works beautifully outdoors as well as in the big city streets.
The Borcego Mountain Boot features 6 D-ring eyelets and 1 hook eyelet for quick and easy lacing, red mountain boot laces, and dual tongue closures to keep out debris.
The merino fur heel pad and lightweight and durable Vibram Commando Sole will ensure that your feet are comfortable while on a mountain hike or trekking throughout the city.
The heel stabilizer is made from a veg tan leather that we kept in natural which will develop it’s own antique patina over time.
The soft-square toe box give the mountain boot a refined silhouette and polished look and the rich marron mediterraneo handmade patina will match a wide variety of your wardrobe.
The boots can easily be paired up with denims, corduroys, and khakis, or be the statement piece of a more dressed up outfit.
To celebrate warmer weather ahead, we made a batch of our Piet Penny Loafer in a stunning violet handmade patina.
The Piet Penny loafer features luxurious French box calf leather sourced by Tanneries du Puy of Hermes, a curved saddle that surfs across the entire vamp, embroidery detailing on the heel counter, and a hand stitched apron that sits comfortably on top of the elongated toe box.
The pitched heel creates harmonious design lines from the collar to the floor, the quilted insole with padding delivers additional comfort, and the Goodyear-welted sole ensures longevity with a sole that can be replaced for many years to come.
The violet patina will compliment the blues and greys of your day-to-day work wardrobe beautifully and will stand out confidently with yellows, greens and browns.
The Piet Penny Loafer looks great with a suit and can easily be worn casually on a weekend holiday away with denim, khakis and corduroy.
Our final shoe is our Miquel Decon Double Monk in a handmade Espresso Patina.
After years of being a heavily sought after MTO shoe after it's first debut in 2014, this is only the second small batch of this unique Double Monk that we’ve produced as a ready-made shoe.
Miquel features a unique throat and tongue in suede that peeks out from below the monk strap at the vamp, adding a tasteful combination of texture and distinct and elegant design lines.
The espresso patina is a blend of dark brown to a milky brown and we’ve captured this on both the pebble grains of the country calf as well as the suede from Charles Stead.
The Vibram Gumlite Commando Sole delivers lightweight cushioning and grip, making it perfect for the Spring months when the weather is less predictable.
Dress the Miquel Decon Double Monk up during the week and wear them comfortably on the weekend.
Our Borcego Mountain Boot, Piet Penny Loafer, and Miquel Decon Double Monk are now available in a small batch online and in our men’s shoe store in Barcelona. Each pair is meticulously hand-finished before delivery.
